Practical information you should know

  • A list of your current medications and the date of your last flu or pneumonia vaccinations
  • Personal identification, including a photo ID and insurance card
  • Personal items that you will need during your stay

What NOT to bring

  • Valuable items or money should be left at home. St. Joseph’s Hospital is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Smoking Policy

St. Joseph's Hospital campus and its affiliated medical buildings are tobacco-free and the use of tobacco products by employees, patients, medical staff, students, contracted personnel, auxiliary, volunteers, visitors, vendors and tenants is prohibited. This policy applies to all hospital owned and managed buildings, properties and grounds.


How do I get a copy of my medical records?

In-person release of medical records is temporarily suspended. You can quickly complete authorized requests through the following options:
  • Call our Health Information Department at 618-526-5405. We are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Fax a request or authorization form to 618-526-4537. Download our authorization form here.
  • Access the MyChart portal and request records sent to your portal account.
