HealthPlex gift certificates available
If someone on your Christmas list is wishing for a healthier New Year, a gift certificate to the HealthPlex at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese may be just the thing for his or her stocking.
“The benefits of exercise have been proven time and time again,” said Jene Bieri, hospital Professional Services Director. “Exercise can benefit almost everyone trying to improve their health or follow a healthier lifestyle.” Gift certificates are available in increments of $30 and sold year round.
Those registered at the $5 million HealthPlex have access to state-of-the-art exercise equipment—at the center of the 26,000-square-foot facility—and exercise specialists to answer questions or assist with a routine. Participants can also attend KEYs-4-Life (Knowledge-Exercise & You) programs at no charge and other HealthPlex offerings for an additional fee.
Participants exercise at their own convenience. The HealthPlex, located north of the hospital along Jamestown Road, is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
The HealthPlex is also home to the hospital’s outpatient physical and aquatic therapy, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, the sports medicine program Athletes Advantage, an older adults program called Senior Renewal and the Memory Diagnostic Clinic. David L. Neighbors, MD, staffs the HealthPlex Clinic with his practice, Competitive Edge Sports Medicine, and serves as the Athletes Advantage medical director.
Participants must receive clearance from his or her physician and complete an orientation before beginning a HealthPlex exercise program.
