CPR training set May 19 at St. Joseph's in Breese
The next Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) class will be offered at 6 p.m. Monday, May 19, in the Heritage Room at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese.
The class will utilize the new American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines which simplify resuscitation and improve effectiveness. Cost is $30 which includes the instruction manual.
Sessions taught at St. Joseph's are appropriate for those needing CPR certification to fulfill job requirements or for personal interest.
CPR classes are generally offered at 6 p.m. the third Monday but as this date can change, please call to confirm. Class size is limited and those registering may be referred to a later session.
The four-hour instruction teaches participants how to recognize and provide immediate assistance for life-threatening emergencies including cardiac arrest and choking. Instruction and hands-on practice is included.
Those successfully completing the course receive an AHA certification card.
