Memory Diagnostic Clinic:
The Memory Diagnostic Clinic provides diagnostic evaluations, work-ups and treatment options for those with memory disorders. Board-certified psychiatrist Scott J. Arbaugh, MD, is the clinic medical director; Melanie Wylie, a
nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatry, is the program director. Some memory disorders are caused by treatable conditions; treatment options also exist for some non-reversible causes. When disorders are detected early, treatment can be initiated quicker and patients have a better prognosis. The clinic is in partnership with the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine Center for Alzheimer Disease and Related Disorders in Springfield and certified by the Illinois Department of Public Health. For more information or an appointment, contact Social Work Services at 526-5330 or email Gerrie Haukap. No physician's referral is needed.
