Members of the Auxiliary traditionally take the opportunity of Hospital Week in May to present a check to the hospital and of their annual meeting in June to present grants-in-aid to healthcare students.

Many opportunities are available. For more information, contact Volunteer Services at 618.526-5351 or e-mail Judy Schrage.

Quilting

A group of about 40 volunteers meet from 9 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays in the Quilting Building in Breese to quilt. Others donate embroidered squares, work to cut, piece and mark the tops and hem the quilts. The handmade quilts are then sold in the Gift Shop, raffled off or put up for silent auction. On average, one finished quilt is donated to the hospital each week.
