Community Benefit
A visible presence for over 90 years, St. Joseph’s Hospital has a proud history of service to the residents of Clinton County. Benefiting the community we serve is an essential expression of our mission to further the healing ministry of Jesus. We dedicate our resources to:
- Delivering compassionate, high-quality affordable health services
- Serving and advocating for our sisters and brothers who are poor and underprivileged and
- Partnering with others in the community to improve the quality of life.
St. Joseph’s Hospital is a community resource. We provide many outreach programs which positively impact the health and wellness of the community we serve. Our community benefits programs are not limited to but include:

Achieving a healthy balance between operational responsibility and community benefit is a challenge we take seriously. We respect each patient’s right to receive quality medical attention- our Christian Care programs are in place to make this possible. St. Joseph’s Hospital integrates community benefit into ongoing processes of planning, budgeting and reporting, explicitly uses its resources to benefit our brothers and sisters who are poor and to promote health and healing in the community.
